About Our Team
Dr. W. Eugene Phillips
Medical Director
Dr. Phillips is the Medical Director of the Charleston Aesthetic Laser Center and Medical Director of InvisiVein. He has been a practicing cosmetic laser surgeon and vein specialist for over 7 years, and is a Board Certified Interventionalist with added Certifications and Qualifications (CAQ). He has been in private practice for over 10 years and has performed thousands of procedures with great success.
Dr. Phillips graduated medical school with Internship from the University of South Florida. He completed his residency from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his Fellowship from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr Phillips’ areas of expertise include Cosmetic Facial Restoration with Botox, dermal fillers and laser technology. He is also the Premier Vein Specialist in Charleston performing the first endovenous laser treatment several years ago and has performed thousands since then.
Dr. Phillips is adored by his patients because of the outstanding results he achieves and his great, attractive personality. When not at work, Dr Phillips enjoys boating, fishing, playing tennis, traveling, walking the beach and vacationing at his mountain house.

Dr. Joseph Mullaney
Dr. Joseph Mullaney graduated from Grove City College with a BS and subsequently received his Cardiovascular Technologist degree from Fairfax Hospital Cardiovascular Technology Program. He later completed his MD and Diagnostic Radiology residency at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Mullaney served as Chief Resident in his fourth year. He holds an Interventional Radiology fellowship from Alexandria Hospital/George Washington University.
Dr. John McGue
Dr. John McGue graduated medical school at the Indiana University of Medicine in 1991. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 1995, and a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2004. He received a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Vascular and Interventional Radiology in 2005. Dr. McGue maintains an active membership in several professional organizations locally and nationally. Joined 8/07.
